What's the difference between YCT and HSK?+
YCT is designed for children, starting from the most basic level. HSK is for ages 12 and above, or those who already have a Mandarin foundation. HSK is highly useful for careers, studying abroad, or scholarships — it has a certification exam, similar to TOEFL for English.
Are the teachers local or native speakers?+
Our Laoshi (teachers) include both local and native speakers, all with over 13 years of teaching experience.
Is the Mandarin taught in Taiwan or Beijing style?+
We use Beijing Mandarin (Putonghua), which is the internationally recognized standard.
What's the main focus of learning here?+
We focus primarily on conversation (speaking), so students can start communicating in real-life situations from day one.
My child has zero Mandarin — can they still join?+
Absolutely! Our classes are designed for complete beginners, open to ages 5 and up through adults.
What happens if I can't attend? Will the session be forfeited?+
Please notify us of an absence at least 1 day in advance (h-1). If you're sick, inform the admin at least 5 hours before class. For planned leave, notify us 2 weeks in advance — makeup classes are available up to 1x per month. If no notification is given, the session is considered forfeited with no makeup class.
Is there a trial class?+
Yes! We currently offer a free trial class promotion. You can also take a placement test at the same time to find out your current Mandarin level.
